A medium scale Greenhouse is to be built at Tr'ondek Hwech'in Working and Teaching Farm.
Cold Climate Innovation has partnered with Tr'ondek Hwech'in to design and build a greenhouse to meet the requirements as outlined below:
- Year round operation
- Balance between production and teaching
- Capable of growing a variety of crops
- Around 3000 sqft greenhouse floor area
- Low energy consumption
CCI have worked with greenhousing experts and various stakeholders to create and evaluate concept designs for 3000sqft year round greenhouses suitable for the Dawson climate.
