Such a shelter fills a market gap and has many potential uses. It could house temporary medical facilities, remote communication sites, controlled climate server rooms, or office space. It may also be useful for mining and bush camps or in military exercises.
It can be constructed on site from standard parts or assembled and then moved to its final location by air, road or barge. Total North, in partnership with Cold Climate Innovation designed the shelter to be easily adaptable while holding standard services such as HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and ac/dc power capability.
This project led to the Total North IT in a Can project.
