The objective of this project is to enhance the OpenBroadcaster system to allow it to broadcast unattended emergency messages consisting of audio and visual alerts. The goal of this enhancement is to provide a cost effective opensource alternative to existing technologies.
OpenBroadcaster Inc. will integrate the Pelmorex™ National Alert Aggregation and Dissemination System adhering to the Common Alerting Protocol into its open source broadcasting framework. The completed code will available in the public domain under a AGPL3 license. The Pelmorex™ operations centre will assist in testing the functionality of broadcasting emergency messaging over OpenBroadcaster’s network of established radio and signage installations.
