Mobile Development on iPad for Briefing Note Sharing

Subvert Marketing was contracted to plan, design, and develop a fully functional mobile application for the iPad.

The app allows for markup, transfer and sharing of briefing notes from meetings. A beta version was designed, built and tested in consultation with Government of Yukon employees to ensure it met their needs as well following iOS best practices and standard protocols.

Project Overview

The app has the following features:

  1. Users can easily create an ad-hoc network which enables them to securely collaborate, share and message only between members of the group.
  2. Users within a group are able to view, annotate, search and create hyperlinks within any number of PDF’s files on the.
  3. Users can send short messages to any other group member. The receiving user is notified when the message  arrives. Messages are in simple text format and users can share the file, page number and link from within the PDF being referenced.
  4. While viewing files, users can go into “teleprompt” mode where the selected file scrolls automatically at a user-defined speed.
  5. Users can record audio using a built-in camera. They can then edit this recording and send it to someone else via email or iMessage.
  6. Users can export and print all of their group’s PDF files and messages to a connected printer.
