Renewing a study permit

If you want to extend your stay in Canada as a student, come to the Yukon University International office to complete an Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada.  Check the expiry date on your study permit, and make sure you apply before that date.  You should apply for renewal at least 30 days before your current permit expires.

More information can be found on the Citizenship and Immigration website.

Once you have your new study permit, bring it to the Yukon University International office and we will make a copy for our files.

Off campus

Eligible international students can work up to 20 hours a week off-campus while registered as full-time students at Yukon University.  It's not possible to pay for all of your studies by working off campus part-time.  This is intended to be a way for students to acquire work-related skills.  There are many employers interested in hiring part-time workers in the Whitehorse region.
