Course reserves

Instructors can put both their own materials, or items from the library collection on reserve.
Important: due to COVID-19 safety measures, the minimum loan period instructors can choose for items on reserve is 24 hours, with a 3-day quarantine period upon item return.

How to put items on reserve

  1. Fill out the Course Reserve Request. Do an individual form for each title. If you have more than one copy of the same title, do one form and indicate in the notes how many copies you will provide.
  2. Bring your reserve items to the Innovation Commons. Have your name noted on the items.
  3. If the form indicates that the items you want belong to the library collection, library staff will pull these items from the stacks and put them on reserve.

Please submit your Library Reserves as early as possible. We will do our best to make your reserve items available quickly, but at times it can take a day or two to set up.

Whenever possible, library staff prefers to keep your items on reserve indefinitely and simply activate or deactivate them as needed. This saves library staff a lot of processing time.
