Library Instruction

Library services provides tours and workshops that can help your students better understand how to find resources, use research strategies, evaluate sources, and use citations to avoid plagiarism.

Workshops can be provided at the Innovation Commons, in class, in a computer lab (booked by the instructor), or in online formats (synchronous via Zoom/Teams or asynchronous with a prerecorded video).

UPDATE regarding COVID-19 measures: Library tours and library instruction sessions at the Innovation Commons will be limited to groups of a maximum of 6 students at a time. Online sessions are advised for larger groups.

  • Innovation Commons guided tour (general walkabout)
  • Research assignment workshop
  • General infolit skills
  • Independent research
  • Joint workshop with a writing centre instructor (research practices combined with writing strategies)
